Urban Cave

This project is mix media installation titled "urban cave". The cave is an alternative spiritual and physical oasis, imitation of nature with fantastic and magical elements.

The cave is a scolded place that offers a" hide-out " from the rought, noisy and polluted city, within the limitations of its urban setting.  Ultramarine deep blue is a color I am fascinated with in the past three years or so.
For me, this color is pure, magical, very spiritual even supernatural, that constantly alluring me to "imbed" myself into its celestial tranquility.

I like to try and test new elements and materials, to use found objects, and to transform them from their original purpose. In my installation I have used wood, mesinite, plaster, glues, tempera colors, acrylic gel, paper,  rope light, Christmas lights, lights, fabrics, glitter, baby pool. Water, chicken wire, lightweight speckle, carving boards, packing peanuts, music, soap bubbles.
