Princess & the Frog :: Installation in NYC, Fall 2003I am presenting a theme installation, this time "the princess and the frog" fairy tale, from a personal point of view. My art in general, and the current project in particular, is dealing with self-exploration, and self-exposure. When I portray myself as "the princess", I am exposing my inner worlds and confronting my inner "demons". It helps me to embrace and except those "demons", eventually, and to grow as a person. With this exposure, I am trying to evoke awareness and thoughts about the viewers' own personal environments, and about society in general. Interactive art enables me as the artist, to create a multi sensual experience for the visitors. that way, the viewer becomes one of the essential elements in the complicity of my artwork. In my artwork I'm combining natural elements with fantastic or magical references, along with motives and acknowledgments from and to art history, and play-full elements. I use different styles and methods, and my body of work is eclectic. My prime medium is painting, mainly acrylic and tempera. I often combine texture and assemble found objects my painting. I often combine several media: painting with sculpture and photography to attack a subject from many angles. Multi media enables me as an artist, an absolute freedom of expression and helps me create more complexes body of work. this particular work is a combination of fragmented pieces in different mediums and styles , all attach together by the floor design that limits the visitor motion range and enhances the alternated and alternative space of the installation and its theme content.
